[GLEH-rah]

Glera is the grape that brings us Prosecco. In fact, it was simply referred to as Prosecco up until ten years ago. That’s when the decision to create the Prosecco DOCG had been made and the attempts to clarify who gets to call their wine Proseeco legally. The decisions regarding the boundaries and the rules was likely a political nightmare… Our advice: find an honest, family producer of Prosecco that you like and stay loyal. Look for one that is investing in Organics in the area as that is all too rare. There are a small number of worthy ones out there, but clearly there are a lot more of the opposite. Long live Glera!
